About Us
The Sierra Leone Nurses Association of North America (SLNANA) is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to championing the professional interests and welfare of Sierra Leonean nurses in both the private and public sectors. Our core mission is to enable our members in North America to deliver superior healthcare services while also extending our support and expertise to the communities in Sierra Leone.
Established in 2013 by a group of forward-thinking nurses, SLNANA has evolved into a pivotal force for positive change, uniting healthcare professionals in a shared vision of compassion and excellence. Our affiliation with the International Council of Nursing (ICN) since June 2014 highlights our alignment with international standards of nursing and our dedication to professional development.
With strategic partnerships across Diaspora Sierra Leone Nurses Association chapters in New York, New Jersey, California, and Texas, SLNANA has cultivated a powerful network that enhances our advocacy, outreach, and impact. Collaborating closely with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone, we are steadfast in our commitment to advancing healthcare quality and fostering the growth of skilled nursing professionals who are equipped to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
